Bobby was the damn man! Earnhardt took him really high in the 4th turn and couldn't hold off Allison. We were at that race down past the start/finish line. Everyone went crazy, super win by Allison!

dale was either extremely humble or suffered from imposter syndrome… either way, i’m thankful for the impact he left on the sport and the benefits to all racers that came after his untimely death.

I have spent YEARS trying to find that Braves hat Dale was wearing.

I was at the race and standing at the fence you see around the 1:27 mark when the crash happened. It was the first NASCAR race I'd ever been to. I had like a rubber tire dust all over me after the crash. Rest of the race was pretty boring since most of the cars were knocked out on that 1st lap. One thing I remember was everyone booing when Dale Earnhardt Sr. name as announced at the beginning of the race. The NASCAR fan base was way different then and the crowds were much smaller than today.
